I am Danielle Canter, the founder of Sanctuary Sleep LLC and the inventor of Crown Lift®. Crown Lift® is designed by me and sold by my company.
Crown Lift®, Sanctuary Sleep and my other work may be discussed, referenced or linked anywhere on this site. Any positive thing I say about a product I invented should be read in that context: it is the perspective of the person who made it and who benefits when it sells. It is not an independent recommendation, and it is not a third-party review.
This website documents my own work, observations, experiments, ideas and experiences. It should not be represented — by me or by anyone else — as the output of an independent third-party review organization, testing body or certification authority.

I am not a physician, sleep physician, physical therapist, chiropractor, scientist or academic researcher, and nothing on this site should be read as medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
The Pillow Lab is observational and exploratory. Pressure mapping images published here illustrate contact and load distribution between a person and a surface. They are not diagnostic images, they do not identify medical conditions, and they are not a substitute for professional assessment.
No product I make or discuss — including Crown Lift® — is offered to treat, cure, prevent or mitigate sleep apnea, snoring, neck disease, spinal conditions or any other medical condition.
If you are in pain, have a diagnosed condition, use a CPAP or other prescribed therapy, or have concerns about your breathing or sleep, please talk to a qualified healthcare professional. Do not change prescribed therapy based on anything you read here.
About the content
Where I don't have data, I say so. I do not publish fabricated studies, statistics, participant counts, test results or conclusions. When real results exist, they will be published alongside their methods and limitations, and observations will be labelled as observations rather than dressed up as clinical research.
